FAQs

All benefit plans are 1st of the month effective. The cut-off date for enrollment is the 20th of the month prior to the desired effective date.
Example - enroll by January 20th for a February 1st effective date.

For Individual/1099 enrollments - initial billing occurs at enrollment. Afterwards, you'll be billed on the 20th of each month for the next benefit coverage period.

For Group enrollments - invoicing is generated each month by the 15th, and payment is due on the 1st of the next benefit coverage period (month).

No. SmartHealth healthcare plans are not major medical health insurance and do not meet the mandatory ACA requirements for large employer groups.

  • • Primary & Spouse enrollees ages 18-64; unmarried child dependents under age 26
  • • Residence in a US state where healthcare benefits are available for enrollment
  • • Additional underwriting or provider requirements may exist based upon the plan selected.
